Moral Order

That which lies before us pales in comparison to that which lies within in us.  We fight, we struggle, we bicker as we strive for that which is beyond our reach, beyond that physical boundary we aspire to achieve.  Momentum propels us forward until we miss the mark and have to begin again.  Looking at that which compels our thought, each move connected to a desire, a worldly desire lasting but for a moment and compromising our intuition.  Sensing revolution, the mind prepares for overdrive as it conspires to maintain its course of delusion.  Relentlessly working, the ego convinces us that life's adventure, life's gain is amplified by popularity and wealth; hence social status the carrot dangled before our steps.  Unable to be reached, the carrot remains forever our bait as the accumulation of social status is never ending.  Satisfaction exists not and temperaments quickly change, situation dependent.  Compromising moral standards is taken to a new level as standards are removed completely, disregarded as old fashioned.  Without attention to the heart, we struggle to move yet we tell ourselves the stiffness will dissipate.  Through darkness, through marsh, through the brush, through the waters we attempt a path while become fearful of our own shadow.  We know not the noise thus we cringe and cower at each.  In the distance we see light though with each step we become more exhausted needing to rest; yet fearful of where and how.  Marked by seclusion, the mind gains power as it dictates our every move, our every thought yet not our every feeling.  In the coldness we feel warmth, in the darkness we see light, in the marsh we find our footing, in the water we learn how to swim...this is our heart, this is God telling us of a better moment.  The heart speaks while the mind speaks, the difference is, the heart speaks the truth while the ego force feeds us lies.  Suspicion rests not with the heart but with the ego dressing as the heart. The power of God constitutes each moment yet these are the moments we ignore when mesmerized by the mind.  To live in each moment we need only listen, listen to the heart, listen with the soul and reverently act in light of faith, vested in a morality derived from holiness and love.  Should we wish to match who we claim to be with who were are, then we need some sort of measuring tool, what better measuring tool than that of the heart?  Intended to drive our beings that we may understand our connection to a power greater than humanity, the heart allows us to see without eyes, hear without ears, feel without emotion, and understand without comprehension.  Labeled impossible by the mind, wisdom dares show us the possibilities of love, the possibilities of faith, and the probability of a hope discovered in the presence of God.  Look, listen and feel, the world is not based upon social status, it is not based upon the accumulation of goods, it is based upon a love so deep, so tender humanity think it an impossibility yet the heart knows of its capability.  That which lies before us pales in comparison to that which lies within in us.  God is within us, love lies within us eclipsing the darkness while providing an insulation of hope shielding us from the temptations of the mind and the hooks of the ego.  Look not to the moment and see what is missing, look, rather, to the moment and see love, see God, see humanity acting with compassion.  Innately we know yet we blindly act, setting aside that which has protected humanity for generations...mortality.  Though in this day, morality is compromised, it can be restored.  That which lies within us has the power to heal, the power to restore humility, restore compassion, restore understanding, restore moral order to a humanity who has fixated their attention upon the physical and forgotten that which is innate...God.  Let us return moral order, act faith and listen to the heart for God is still speak, we need to start listening.
