SOMETHING MORE

Two strangers prepared for a journey, one packed light while the other took as much as he could carry.  When they were sufficiently packed, they said good bye to their family and friendS and headed out to the Open road.  The first stranger, feeling euphoric, headed west without a map and a small backpack; he was ready to experience the world, whatever that Meant.  The second stranger, bogged down by the weight of his knapsack, was feeling a bit uneasy about his journey for he had been told he was ready though he felt unprepared; none-the-less, he opened his map and followed the mapped course.  Days passed and the strangers interacted with people they met, they laughed, they told stories as they learned about the people and culture in which they were Emerged.  Engaging in conversation, both men discovered more about Themselves then they ever imagined possible.  They were independently learning to experience life, How to handle that which makes most men cringe and when to keep silent.  Days turned Into weeks which evolved into months...both men found places in which to settle: one enrolled into a Neighboring college while the other found a full time Gig.  They lived their lives, experiencing life, capitalizing on the opportunities as they arose.  Dean's list, Mentor and president Of the house, community awareness award Recipient, promotion, acknowledgements from superior, noticed by a secret crush; both men were Experiencing life yet not to its fullest.  They moved about their lives, Shouldering responsibility, Offering assistance, Monitoring finances, Expecting nothing in return and Though they seemed Happy, Inside both men Noticed a void.  Sensing a need to Gain perspective, each Man sought an Opportunity to Reach beyond his norm and Extend himself to the point of understanding.  The first man went with Some Of his friends for a weekend camping trip in the Middle of the woods; Evergreens and Thistles the backdrop with the promise of Happiness, Introspection, and Never ending Gags on each other.  Yes, the Mere thought Of this camping trip Refueled the man's Empty tank.  The Second man wandered a bit, Opportunities were not staring him in the face, Maybe, this was Enough?  He moped around The office, Hoping something would Inspire his genius, Nothing caught his attention until he over heard a Group of Men talking about the Opportunity for a Retreat Experience.  Intrigued, the man joined the group which humbly embraced his company.  Both men were ready for their escape from the norm, ready for SOMETHING MORE.  While in the woods, the first man Sat by the lake, tossed his line into the water and waited.  He said with his thoughts, Owning his Mistakes, accepting his shortcomings, and Emphatic about his destiny.  A Tug on the line and He quickly left his thoughts.  Another tug, the fish was Insisted upon freeing himself while the man Never Gave losing the fish a thought.  As he reeling in the Monkfish, he Offered thanks for his catch, Remembering fishing trips with his father Explaining a prayerful purpose.  He carefully tossed the fish back into the lake and returned to his thoughts.  The Second man Offered to carpool with the other Men to the retreat.  They all gathered for breakfast then, Excitedly, made Their way to the retreat center.  Greeting were exchanged and each man was Handed a schedule for the Intense weekend.   They gathered for meetings and talks, Nothing which the man expected, yet it was these Gatherings that he discovered the Movement of his heart.  With each Opportunity to speak, he Repeated the words of his heart, shocking Even himself.  As the group of men gathered for dinner, the man smiled for he had discovered truth.  Both men returned to the normalcy of their lives, Something was different, Obviously the Men had Experienced That which He sought, Investing in Now, Giving way to the Moment, Offering accepting of the past by Removing distractions and Experiencing the heart.  Nagged for so long, SOMETHING MORE distracted their conscious while nagging their subconscious; SOMETHING MORE in their every experience, SOMETHING MORE with every journey, SOMETHING MORE with every interaction.  As they looked back at their lives, they clearly saw SOMETHING MORE.  The desires of their hearts prevailed, faith carried them without even their knowledge; God Spoke and they heard, Omnipresent and the felt, Motivating the heart, Encouraging the mind to Take a step back, Hang up the ego, Invite the heart, Negate the antics of the mind, and Gather Moments Of Rare Engagement.  SOMETHING MORE...it is written through the their story, written throughout our own...SOMETHING MORE...God is this more, faith is our something.  Are you ready to take the reigns of SOMETHING MORE?  See you ready to experience this life without anxiety, only with love?  Faith is our something which draws us closer to God, which helps us identify, in our own story, the SOMETHING MORE we missed as followed the crowd, blended it, or sought normalcy.  Faith obliterates normalcy as in faith we experience Moments Of Recurring Existentialism...with a God as our heart, MORE we know, MORE we understand and experience via faith wrapped in love.  Will you take the reigns of SOMETHING MORE?
