Blessed, blessed are we gifted with the Father’s love; yet our actions claim privilege. When assuming claims our battlecry, entitlement become part of our vocabulary replacing humility, meekness, and peace. Walk we must with the confidence of faith for with each step humility leaves its mark. Walk we swiftly that we escape the pressures of the world, the rallying of chaos. No matter the pace, constant bombardment from that which attempts to imprison our soul is inevitable for humanity makes skew what the heart knows as fact. Twisting a blessing into a privilege and innocence into slander for what we experience comes from the exposition of the heart. Unwilling to venture into the caverns of the soul, we invent the existence of normalcy discoverable by conformity to chaos and socialized antics. Neglecting our blessings, we act as one who knows not of needs only of wants, acting selfishly, tending only to that which satisfies the goal narcissism. Absorbed with self we lose sight of the blessings of the heart, lose sight of the God within as we travel about taking in the sights, yet never reaching the destination. Home is for what we search though no search is needed for home is wherever we stand as the Father embraces our beings, promising love, promising a friend, promising safety. We must return to our blessings, return to the actions of the heart, inspired by faith lest we live severed from the Father, separate from love. Blessed we are, now may our actions reflected such blessings; abandon, we must, our sense of commitment to socialized acceptabilities...from such we become calloused and vengeful. Listen, we must, to the words of Christ as He reminds us of our blessing:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be
satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is
the kingdom of heaven.”
Beatitudes, attitudes of blessing; such reminders fall through the cracks of entitlement and narcissism. Cloaking ourselves in faith, we see clearly the need to act in love, the need to surrender to the Father and live in communion with the Spirit. Actions of faith allow rest, allow peace, allow a tenderness only dreamt of when addicted to chaos leading to entitlement. Service is who we are, who we are meant to become as love is service. Blessed we are with the knowledge of love, blessed we are with the appropriate responses to controversial actions, blessed we are with the Spirit of God to guide us along our journey. Humility will catapult us into faith where determination and the hunger for the Father will be motivation, alone, to acknowledge our blessings. Peace we will become that others may know peace, that others may rest in the love of the Lord. Mercy shall we show that others may experience forgiveness and love ignored in our world of chaos. We must practice empathy, that we may walk in the path of others, experiencing their challenges and responding with love. The blessings they are many, thus we must act in faith, act that the Father may know our gratitude as we keep not such these blessing for ourselves but share His love with the world with our every action rendered in faith. Blessed are we...let us grow and share in these our blessings and set the world on fire with love.
