The pendulum swings

The iron collar in place

Inertia sets the swing in motion

While gravity pulls it back

Air resistance lengthens the strides

Our pendulum of life

God our iron collar

Without which We become brittle and snap

Life the inertia

Events set in motion as life happens

Sometime life feels out of control

Societal pressures lengthen the swing

Control thought to be lost forever

The rocking, the swinging, faster

We become motion sick

Which way to turn

The movement does not stop

Rattled with unfamiliar thoughts

Our pendulum swings

A bird's eye view detects vast sways from east to west

Stop looking

Feel, believe, accept

God the iron collar

God within

Unconditional love the magnet

Faith pulls us back, it grounds us

Life seen clearly

The pendulum swings

Nothing is feared

God has control

Surrender to God

We are alive

Life is joyful

Grounded faith our refuge, our emancipator

Our pendulum still in motion

Sometimes east to west, other times north to south

The swing not an indication of our faith

The swing of life

Life only a pendulum

Its constant motion necessary

Let the pendulum strides widen

For faith clears doubt

Faith settles the soul

Faith needs movement to grow

Gravity a strong force

God a stronger truth

Move the pendulum shall

Faith growing stronger with each swing

The causality, chaos

The reality, faith

Chosen to believe

Faith tempers the swing

Growing mass hysteria causes fluctuation

Magnetized by our God, we know our home

Without motion we become stagnant

Unable to move, muscles petrified

Mind unstable 

Faith the force which keeps motion

Hope to the east

Peace to the west

Wisdom to the north

Understanding to the south

No matter the direction, faith reported

Purposed to record

This, our pendulum, records our movement

Our commitment

Back and forth, back and forth

Yet humanity never trumps spirituality

God our magnetism

Drawn to Him we remain

Humanity causes doubts

Faith creates reality

Faith creates comfort ability

Faith creates a pathway

A directional guide

A reality function

Contained not by humanity

Maintained by the soul

Back and forth

Gravity a strong force

God a stronger truth

This truth revealed

This truth accepted

This truth now lived
