“Now?”
“No, not yet.”
“But when?”
“Soon. Very soon.”
“Now?”
“Well, no, not now; later.”
“It is later, how about now?”
“Now is not a good time.”
“What do you need for it to be a good time?”
“I don’t know, time?”
“Time has passed, how about now?”
“Still not a good time. Later, sometime later.”
“The day has fallen into the sky, it is later.”
“Yeah, but it is too late now, I am tired.”
“The sun is rising in the sky, illuminating the world, a new time.”
“This time is too early, I need to sleep.”
“You have now awoken for the day, now?”
“No, now I am late; it will have to be another time .”
“You are looking a bit stressed, how about now?”
“Definitely not now, too much to do! It will have to be later!”
We have all had this conversation with God who simply want a moment of us, a moment to talk, a moment to hold yet our “time” is always later. God continues to pursue us, continues to hope that that time will come. For, with every question, we become more agitated, with every question His concern and love for us grows stronger. So, while we hear the above conversation, here is what the Father is truly saying:
“Now? I love you!”
“No, not yet.”
“But when? I love you!”
“Soon. Very soon.”
“Now? I love you!”
“Well, no, not now; later.”
“It is later, how about now? I love you!”
“Now is not a good time.”
“What do you need for it to be a good time? I cherish you and I love you without condition!”
“I don’t know, time?”
“Time has passed, how about now? I love you!”
“Still not a good time. Later, sometime later.”
“The day has fallen into the sky, it is later. I wish to hold you and comfort you.”
“Yeah, but it is too late now, I am tired.”
“The sun is rising in the sky, illuminating the world, a new time. Time I can show you Mu love.”
“This time is too early, I need to sleep.”
“You have now awoken for the day, now? I love you!”
“No, now I am late; it will have to be another time .”
“You are looking a bit stressed, how about now? I can take away the load which you bear and replace it with unconditional love.”
“Definitely not now, too much to do! It will have to be later!”
“I will be here when the time is right, I will not stop asking you when that time will be because I love you without restriction, you are My child and I want for you to be made whole, feel My love, and know how much you are cherished.”
So while we are saying no, while we are racing time, while we are prisoners to such time, all the while God is with us, God is loving us. With every excuse we give, the Father tells us just how much we mean to Him, just how much He loves us. Maybe we should spend less time on excuses, less time on the non essentials and more time with our God who calls out our name in love, who patiently waits for us to take a moment to be with Him. Always later, never now. Later will never come but now is here. Change the dialogue to remove later and substitute it with I am here.
