Prayer comes in all forms
Laughter can be prayer
Each moment spent in silence; prayer
Acceptance of shortcomings; prayer
Sometimes we just need to step back, slow down
Expect nothing and accept peace
Prayer is our gift, our time with God
Ready we need not be but rather open
As we move about our day, we need only listen
Yesterday God was present as He is today
Whether it is on bended knee or in heavy traffic
Innately, our heart connects with the Father
Though, too often, we ignore His presence
Hectic our lives have become, yet never to hectic to listen
Moments we have, moments we need to take
Expectations we need not hold for God is already present
Patience a virtue tossed by the wayside
Living has become for the moment
Easy, the path of least resistance our claim to humanity
Attention given to the tangible
Suppressing the reality of the soul
Ego driven, we look no further than wants
Presenting prayer is of no concern
Remembrances of love overwhelm our being
Attention turned to our needs
Yielding not to pride
We attempt to turn back to the Father yet timid
Intimidated have we become for
Too often we have had the chance to prayer and turned our back
How could the Father want our closeness?
More often it is out of fear that we do not return to Him
Even more often it is out of laziness
Prayer, our bridge, our security blanket
Learned in the ways of faith we have become
Etching into the heart the Father’s words
Attention turned from human interest to the
Sound of the soul, the voice
Echoing within our being
Pray, come be with Me
Remember our closeness, remember My love
Always I will love you
You are My child, My soul
Will you listen, will you please come home
Insist, I must, that we reform our bond
Together, you and I, for always
Home is the two of us together
Me and you
Experiencing peace, living hope, fulfilling love
Prayer, this the Father’s wish, closeness with His children. If we but listen, if we but look we will hear, we will see that all the Father wants is us to pray with Him; for us to be with Him in this moment, in the next moment that He may wrap us in His love, shower us with His peace. If there were but a question of this truth, just look back, just listen; the Father’s words...PLEASE PRAY WITH ME.
