World on its Side

The world is on its side

Drowning in hatred, sinking in ignorance

Speak so others will know such madness

That other may not fall prey to its cunning apathy

Actions malicious with intent

Time moves not forward for it is lost within the mayhem

And still we are here wanting, waiting, seeing

The shepherds have gone astray

See we must that the mountains are filled with sheep

Sheep that wander, that know no purpose

Confused by the chatter

One moment thinking abandoned 

The next pompous an righteous in thought

The world knows not which direction is up

Knowing has been abandoned for instruction

Yet the instruction tainted by the ego

The vigilante seeking souls for the purpose of power

The sacred desecrated that insurgence may rise

Idols worshipped while God tossed aside

Priorities skewed

Once God and family  

Replaced with egotism and popularity

The bait tautings, claiming many a victim

On its side, the world spins out of control

Yet control lies within

Wisdom its companion and strength its shield

Faith has wings

Fly high that the world can be seen for what it is

Such flight will inspire action

Actions of the heart

Actions speaking to the solemnity of God

God is, indeed, one

And we His partner

We His love

Swift our movement must be 

Controlled by the soul

We must let the world know that the Father is here

Let them know that His love is real

Many have been blinded

Others can no longer hear

Innocence gone with the wind

Faith prevails in our hearts

Ready to act, ready to take the lead

Bringing the world toward love

Turn we must toward the sun 

Placing our backs to the shadows

Ignoring the call of the ego

Fortresses have been build to protect the investment of pride

Those walls easily crumble under the weight of love

Return we must to the Father

The fighting will be strong

For the ego loves victory

Faith is stronger, it runs marathons

The lines have been blurred

Yet faith breaks down the distance between right and wrong

While the ego attempts to cloud such victories

Persevere

The road is long but the will is stronger

Love is with every pass

The Father is with every step

The world is on its side

Yet the faith-filled walk upright

Never pompous, on humble

Led by faith we move in love

Bridging the gaps which lead to voids

Filling the world with love

Our purpose

The Father’s insistence

Soon the world will no longer be on its side

Love will make it upright

Faith will anchor its hold
