No need to run, no need to hide, oh, wait, there you stand, still. There you are in the cruel beating of an innocent person. There you are in the slanderous words uttered to a stranger. There you are in the hate filled propaganda claimed by many as their own banners on social media. There you are in a heated argument regarding nothing of importance. There you are in the divide of a nation. There you are among the divide, poking, prodding, instigating and loving every moment. There you are, in plain site, and yet, still many don’t see you. Some claim you fictional, others impossible, still others a function of the mind. We, who know the love of God, call you evil, the devil, Satan. No longer do you hide your face, work from the shadows, nor blindside your prey. Brazen in this age of mocked power; brazen you are to show your face, show your hand of hatred, bigotry and injustice without even an inclining of shame. Proudly you turn families against families, friends against friends, nations against nations. Quickly and efficiently you move, enticing even the most devout under the guise of togetherness. How can we be together when people are brutally beaten for a differing opinion? How can we claim community when hatred is the core belief? This taunting noise too much for some thus they buckle under the residual echos, causing anxiety and doubt...both of which you play upon. Out in the open and still some refuse to see the horror of you while embracing a fight without provocation, following the path of hatred marked by irreverent steps of apathy, jealousy, and entitlement. We see you! No longer can we stand by allowing such evil to become the mainstream norm. Gifting us with courage and strength, now we are called to stand our ground; we are called to wisely act with mercy, to offer love yet defend our faith. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son...our role model, our source of understanding and strength. Now we are His hands, His feet, His eyes, His body...we are His love, His justice, His mercy, His awareness and we see YOU! We see such evil and vow to end the hypocrisy spewed as truth. Proudly we wear the helmet of Salvation knowing that Christ died for us, knowing His unchallenged love for us. The breastplate of righteousness will protect us from the arrows of hatred, egotism, and vanity thrown by your followers in a effort to intimidate those who have lost their way. Their way, they will find for we will be their strength, be their hope when doubt is all they profess. Peace will be our steps for we are made humble in the Father’s love. The Father’s words, our weapon, for His love, His peace, His hope will come through in our actions of faith. Truth, our hearts speak the truth thus we have no need for your lies and as such, we will spread these truths to others. Finally, faith our shield yet faith also our fight. We see the evil that walks by day and whispers by night but we also see our God, see goodness, know love and are prepared to act in faith and respond with mercy.
