How do we but dream?
How do we but know?
Sight is not of the eyes
Sight, rather, is of the heart
Each beat, a vision
A call from God
Spoken from love
Spoken with love
That we may but dream
That we may but know
The workings of this world confuse, frustrate, even petrify
Life moves, it twists and turns
Narrows to the point of claustrophobia
Fear is but a reaction of the mind
The heart longs for closeness
It is never smothered
Never does it feel restricted or confined
For in tight spaces it feels warmth
Feels love
That it may be free
Free to explore a world many fear
Explorations of the heart illicit hope
Each step marks a journey with God
Circumnavigating a world of desires for a lifetime of truth
Slowly the sun rises above the horizon, bring a new day
Rays of light permeate the land
The world awakens
Desires mix with dreams
Confrontations arise
Heartache followed by misery persists
Energies drained
Bodies become tapped out
Ill equipped for survival
Agitation the motivation for movement
Cumbersome footsteps fossilize along the path
Thickets and thorns eventually make the path impenetrable
Surrendering to monotonous movements, life slows
Even stops
A series of perfunctory actions to see the next sunrise makes not life
Freedom the catalyst of life
Freedom the call of the heart
For wrapped in love
Voiced by God
The heart dreams in knowledge
Knowledge of truth
The eyes of the heart need not wait for the sun to rise
It need not wait for the rays of light to touch the earth
The heart is awakened in love
God's love
The truth of His realness
The truth of He who loves without condition, without judgement
Experienced via the heart
As the sun begins to set, it takes with it its warm rays
The air chilled and many shiver
Yet they know not why they shiver
Thinking it the removal of the sun, they bundle up
Only to find the same coldness, the same bitterness
Building layer upon layer, more is never enough
Finally, when the sun returns, the bitterness remains
Chapped from the cold, life becomes arduous
Until the heart is permitted to see
For its sight is not hindered by darkness nor sunlight
Its sight is set in truth
That it may experience this truth in love
Each beat, a vision of this truth
Each vision, a glimpse of God
God alive in this world
God, a vision of our dreams
Personified in the rising and setting of the sun
Its beauty, our beauty
This the tapestry of our heart
The tapestry of our soul
Each woven stitch solidifies our connection with our Creator
It is together that we weave a masterpiece
The heart, the sight of true life
Visionary of dreams
Professor of knowledge
Antithesis of the mind
The heart brings forth life
Brings forth a masterpiece
The thicket once grown over now a beauteous path
Green grass grown over the fossilized footprints makes for a cushioned passage
A passage of hope
Through valleys of fear
Only to climb the mountain of peace
Dream of love and we become love
Know love and love will follow you
The master of our heart...
God, the masterpiece of our soul
Dream that God my free the mind and ignite the soul
No darkness too great
No valley too deep
For the heart knows no boundaries
It echoes love in the deepest of caverns
And shines greater than even the brightest sun
It illuminates darkness for in truth it resonates beauty
The beauty of a free soul
Free to love
Free to know love
Free to be love
Free to be the beautiful tapestry woven in faith, styled in hope
We dream with God in love
We know God because of love
