The story of the beach

The wind whips across the dunes and the sun warms the sand.  Each set of waves make their way to shore as the scavenger gulls peruse the each for food left both by the seas and beach goers. Though the beach desolate it carries much life for nothing is stagnant upon this beach...from the largest pelican gracefully cutting through the winds to the tiniest clam frantically digging back into the sand as it was washed ashore, life on the beach is unencumbered by time, by deadlines, by financial woes.  Long after the passing of each human, the beach will remain alive.  It is free to move about, to dance in the summer wind or to soak up the winter sun.  Morsels of food will always be found though the search may be laborious for even the birds of the air are under the Father's watch.  The beach has accept peace, it has learned harmony, it thrives on just being.  People come to enjoy the beach, they come to play in the sand and wade in the water; they are annoyed by the brazen attitudes of the scavenger gulls daring to gather close to collect the tiniest morsel of food.  Laughter is heard among the sands as families gather to play volleyball or play fetch with their beloved pet.  Visitors of the beach begin to exit when the sun falls from the sky, melting into the sea. A long day of sun and pleasure enjoyed yet the most rewarding lesson never acknowledges let alone learned.  The beach has a story to tell, the beach has a moral to teach if we but listen.  Too wrapped in our worldly desires, our worldly thoughts, we attack the beach with attitudes of rest, play, and escape from the "regular" world.  We can rest, we can play, we can escape from the "regular" world but if we would just listen we would hear a story of truth, a story, not a secret of life.  With every set of wave crashing to shore, with every wind that tosses the sand about, there is a story to be told.  Stop and just listen, it speaks, it is wise, it says..."Be here, be in the moment, fret not about tomorrow for it will come with the passages of the sun which slowly sinks into the sea.  Watch with me, watch the scavenger gulls hunt along my shores, they fly, they run, they scavenge yet they worry not for their needs are always met, they want for nothing as they have learned that I will provide for them, I will not let them go without.  Watch with me, watch as the waves break out at sea, the white caps move along the waters as if hovering about the sea, they break again and again until finally they arrive along the shore bringing with them more food for the gulls and broken shells; remnants of their journey from the depths of the sea.  Watch with me, watch as the grass growing on the dunes bellow in the wind, each blade dances in the wind and playfully moves as if being tickled.  Listen with me, listen to the sound of the gulls talking to one another, the familiar squall can be heard over the roaring of the ocean tides.  Do you hear the ocean?  Listen with me, listen to the ocean, fall, fall deep into your spirit; the consistency of the ocean will help you to meditate, it will help you to focus on that which is important, that which you are desperately search...you know what that is, don't you?  Listen with me, listen to the wind rush across the your ears. Do your hear the words it speaks?  Feel with me, feel the rays of the sun warm your body, let it now warm your heart.  Feel with me, feel the wind kiss your cheeks, attempting to cool you from the warmth of the sun.  Feel with me, feel the sand between your toes, let it tickle.  Dig deep in the sand and you will find that it will cool your tired feet.  Feel with me, feel the warmth of the ocean, let it envelope you as it invites you to go out further and bask in its beauty.  Watch, listen and feel with me and you will become the escapee you desire but not just for a moment but rather a lifetime.  Just be, be here in this moment and you will see, you will hear, you will feel as never before for in this very moment is peace; in this very moment is love.  Look upon my beach and you will find beauty, you will find tranquility and, if you look long enough, you will find you.  This, I know, is what you have been looking for, this is why you come to my shores.  Feel the presence of greatness, watch as the pelican gracefully cuts through the air and dives into the ocean.  Grace, my friend, grace is present here on this beach, grace granted by the Father to all but simply accepted as truth here and now.  Peace is not a byproduct but rather a promise of the Father to His beloved.  We are His beloved, I choose to rest in His promise and you choose to worry.  Rest, my friend, rest.  Take a moment and think not of what you want for tomorrow, what you want for next year but what you want in this moment...peace in this moment you shall have if you but watch, listen and feel, peace is here, peace surrounds you now just open your arms and accept it; accept the truth of this moment for in this moment, on this beach God is present.  His presence is forever and the power of His presence is healing.  Watch as the crab quickly digs himself into the sand, hear the whip of the wind across the ocean, feel the warmth of the sun in your heart.  Let my beach fill you, let my peace quiet you that you may be enveloped in the promise of the Father, the promise of fulfillment, the promise of love.  On this beach there is love, there is peace, there is life for we each have learned the lesson of the heart, the lesson of just being in the moment.  Many have come to this beach and many have left this beach and never heard our story, they come with intentions and leave only having escaped never having learned.  This is the story of the beach, it is a love story but it is not a secret as most claim.  There is no secret to life, life can be a love story for this was the intent, become the love story you are suppose to be, be in the moment, here and now.  Shhh, do you hear it...the oceans crash with joy for you have stopped.  Do you see it...God has smiled in the passing of the pelican who flies with ease and beauty. Do you feel it...love is burning within you as the sun begins to sink into the sea.  Be in this moment, just be and become the beauty of this world.  This beach epitomizes beauty for it has stopped, learning how to watch, learning how to listen, learning how to feel.  You want so  desperately to find you, to find peace, to escape the craziness of the world then you need to stop, watch, listen and feel God's intention, God's promise for you.  Be here, be in the moment and be you."
