Send me where I need to be,

Gather me here, be with me

So much happens that I can’t explain

So much happens that causes pain

Here I am, on bended knee

Here I am, for You to see

Life it moves so quickly

Thinks I neglect to understand

For a moment I know

Yet the next second I go

Go where, I know not

I turn from You

I hide my face

And for what? 

To run, run in this human contained race?

Where I turn, when will I learn

You are my rock and shield

Every movement I make

Every step that I take

You are right by my side

From You, I never need hide

And yet, here I am, running without purpose

Running as though I were being chased

No reason to run, yet there I go

Running as if there were no end

But You, my protector, my God, my friend

You know my heart, you know soul

You bring me to my home

Here with You, wrapped in love

Is nothing I could have expected

Your compassion unmatched

Your love greater than life

And though I move swiftly, I never forget

The promises You have made

To know

To love

To hold me close

That I may render truth

We are one, my God and I

We are one soul

No need have I to run, to hide

For by Your love You abide

Every word You speak

Rings truth in my heart

Such truths will never us part

And so send me where I need to be

Send me to that which I need see

I will go, swift on foot

Leaving my heart to lead

You are my home

My truth, my love

Whatever You ask, I will heed

For You have tended to my need

A connection I know

And my faith doth grow

Once I place my trust in You

I am here, I await Your call

And I will give my all

To be called Your child

Your one, Your love

As You are my heart

This You have known from the start

I place my trust in You, my God

That I should always know

A path exists to You, my home

No matter how lost, how long I roam

Strength grows within each and every day

That is why I am able to say

Here I am, send me where You will

Send me and know that I know love

That I will share this love

As You have from above

I will give my heart, my soul

So send me where I am needed the most

I will do Your will

I will sing Your song

I will honor my Savior true

Faith my guide and love my honor

That I may share Your love in human parting

That I may give to a hurting world

Actions which convey the truth of Your love

That others may be filled as well

So send me where I am needed most

Fear not my running step

For though, in the past, I was swift to run

No longer have I a need to go

I am home, right here

I am home with You

My God, my Savior true

I am here, I know love

I am here, I see love

I am here, I will act with love
