3 Items

Three items are set before you: a gold necklace, a 100 dollar bill, and a Bible.  You are permitted to carry with you one item, put away a second item and the third item you are to give away.  Which item do you put into your pocket, which item do you store for later and which item do you give away?  Why for each?  Take a moment...

The order in which we prioritize each speaks to our deepest desires; wanting something over another.  It would seem that there was a right and a wrong order for each to be selected but the truth is, if we are rooted in faith and driven by humility and compassion, then that which we choose to carry, to keep and to give away speaks only to our willingness to glorify the Father via our daily works.  Firstly, the gold necklace, while it draws attention, maybe it is long enough to get someone’s attention that a healing conversation may be engaged.  In a struggle for fame, hearts can be touched by hope and mended by love; the Father the source of such completeness.  In the glory of the fame, it is not ourselves that we glorify, rather, Christ, His works, His gentleness, His compassion. Shooting for fame that others may come to know Christ, that others may come to journey with Christ is a selfless act, an act grounded in faith and founded n the Father’s love.  So wear the chain, engage in conversations with strangers, make them your friends, make then your family in Christ and share the love which the Father has so selflessly offered.  FAME: faith amidst mortal enterprising...just keep it selfless.  Secondly, the $100 bill; yes it is a representation of wealth, yet coupled with a driven faith, it can be used to help others.  That which we, as mortals, have is not ours; the only thing we can truly claim as our own is our faith and connectedness to the Father, everything else is trivial.  Material hoarding puts space between ourselves and the Father as we deem such goods as necessary and a bonded love as secondary. Should we choose the $100 bill, the representation of wealth couple with faith, knowing our desires are good works, then we actually bridge the gap between human and divine.  It is not what we have but rather, what we do with what we have that make the difference.  WEALTH: Wisdom explored acquired life trusting Him: just be selfless.  Thirdly, the Bible, the intimate life of the Father, Son and Spirit as connected to mankind.  It is not enough to carry the Word of God on pages of a book, this Word must be connected to the heart, fed from the soul.  Many carry the word that others may look upon them and be envious of their relationship with the Father, their accolades of faith; yet these are the many who carry simply for show, their void is desolation and loneliness for they have the words of the pages have not manifested into the Words of the soul.  Should we choose the Bible to carry, we must not be haughty but humble, comprehending the sacrifices Christ made on our behalf, trusting the voice of the Spirit.  Referencing the pages is only one step, these pages need to reference our soul and motivate our action.  BIBLE: bringing inspiration beyond lackadaisical exploration...act selflessly.  There are always choices before us, choices which counter consequence, which rival adversity for the choices we make play to our person, our conscious connection with and t the Father.  Every choice we make, we choose to be selfless and walk in faith or not; we choose to highlight material goods or a connectedness with the Father; we choose to act upon truth of the soul or whispers of humanity...choice.  A million items lie before you, it is not what you choose but rather how you choose to act with each choice, selfishly or selflessly; one illuminates the ego, the other immortalizes the soul in love. Choose, choose wisely, choose selflessly.
