There lies in front of you a maze with four entrances: one from the top, one to the right, one to the bottom, and one to the left. Which entrance do you choose? The top, the first that you see, is pretty plain, though it has no door, the view of the maze is blocked. The entrance to the right seems to be backlit, allowing some vision of the perspective maze with seemingly worn paths. The bottom bottom even more visible with many footprints which makes you believe this entrance a viable option as it seems to have been the choice of many. Then there is last entrance to the left, this entrance seems a bit mysterious, dimly lit yet inviting with soft hues, beautifully carved wood and no footprints. Looking at all four of your options, which do you choose and why? Excited about such an adventure, you carefully look at each doorway that you may strategize your first move. Logically you deduce the worth and complexity of each of the entrances that you may create the best maze experience for yourself. As you weigh each pro and con for each of the entrances, you are badgered with a thoughts; what is the purpose, is there a reason? It is then that you realize that you have no idea how you got to where you are standing, no idea why you are standing where you are, and the purpose for this stance. Panic begins to cloud your judgment as you frantically run from entrance to entrance attempting to peer in and seen a means to an end. The path with the footprints, why were there footprints, were they yours, is that how you arrived at this place? Four options yet derivatives of hundreds. Unsure of anything, you decide to explore the path with the many footprints yet quickly you discover that from this path many paths jet off creating too much confusion, too much anxiety. So you return to the point of four entrances; yet you are now thinking these may be exits. Are you trapped? What if you cant find your way out? Will you be locked here indefinitely? Claustrophobia now your companion with anxiety its confident. Which doorway to pursue? Which will end this madness instantly created by panic? With the night falling you decide to enter the door with backlighting. You walk with an air of familiarity which is quickly turned by confusion and uneasiness as you become aware that with each step you are walking further away from the comfort of your starting place; panic sets in. You begin to run; yet with each turn you become more wearisome, more anxious. Terror playing tricks with your vision and you see not the beauty of each path, not the notches carved on the wood, the reflections from the glass, the trickle of the fountains; in essence, the paths become prison walls and you the inmate. Frantically you run, frantically you take each turn until; unknowingly, you find a doorway in which you exit. You find yourself in the very place you began, standing in the doorway which you first gazed upon, the one you labeled plain. Unsure of what to do, there you sit, starring at the doorways, contemplating the one door left unexplored. The idea of escaping, of leaving a place you know nothing about, this thought, squashes ay hesitance you have of exploring the last of the doorways. And so you stand and walk toward to ornate door with much trepidation yet as you peer through, you notice beauty and a feeling of peace overtakes your person. Unsure of the feeling, your footsteps swift as your racing mind slows a bit enabling you to see that which lies before you...beauty and serenity. And so your pace begins to slow that you may engage with your surroundings. The idea of escaping has left your thoughts, now you are more concerned with discovery. Whether the doorways were an entrance or a exit no longer make a difference, now the purpose rests in engaging; engaging in life not manufactured by popularity, nor by fear, nor by claustrophobia, nor by apathy, nor by confusion. Engagements, this the purpose, this the why for with each engagement you find the Father, your find His love, His promises and the logical deductions no longer relevant. That which once tortured your soul, now presented in light of an engagement with the Father, creates a perspective of His reality. Exploration in such a reality tends to leave one euphoric, riddled with purpose and adjusted in the clarity of the Father’s love. Perspective engagements reunite your heart, your soul with the Father’s reality as, with each step, you move closer toward love, closer toward your purpose, leaving behind the riddled baggage concerning yourself with logical deference of the human persuasion. Just as you are about to step, just when you are about to question whether they are entrances or exits, let the heart speak for it will say that it matters not. Check your perspective...is it one tainted by logic, fear, material necessity or does it rest in the Father, in love, faith, hope, grace, fortitude? Perspective engagements, the Father walks every path, takes every step, yet to see Him, to feel Him, you must engage in faith perspective. Let worry be stripped away by clarity; clarity of the heart and perspective of the soul.
