Rest in Me

When the night closes in and you still have much to do, I’ll be there

When life becomes the challenge you never accepted, I’ll be there

When compliments are lost among the shouting, I will be the kind word

When home becomes to far for your weary muscles, home I am

Walk no further, worry no more, love shall be your reward

I will be your light

Allow Me to be your speech

Faith is My tongue

Love My action

Rest on Me and you will know peace

Many will suffer, many will hurt

To them you shall bring My hope

It is your faith that will see you through

Though rumble may line the path, it impede not your journey

For I am here, I am with you

When you need someone to help you through

Through the quagmire, through the rubbish

Through the hatred, through the apathy

I’ll be there

Let not fear lead you away

Let not worry cloud your vision

Let not lies chain the resources of your heart

I am here

Remember I am her

I will be your light

Allow Me to be your speech

Faith is My tongue

Love My action

Rest on Me and you will know peace

When rest seems a lifetime away, I’ll be there

I am your safe haven

I am your shield when the arrows are loosed

Anxiety will not pierce through my shield

Nor will loneliness nor fear

Faith insulates this shield

Nothing will prove fatal

Listen, I am here

No matter your path

No matter your chosen direction, I am here

There is no place I would rather be than here with you

Listen

Your heart has much to say

It knows hope

It knows peace

It offers you a vision

Allow it to be your compass

And you will never be lost

Every turn will be marked

Ever seemingly dark path, lit

You heart is My heart

Know

I will be your light

Allow Me to be your speech

Faith is My tongue

Love My action

Rest on Me and you will know peace

I will be your light

Allow Me to be your speech

Faith is My tongue

Love My action

Rest on Me and you will know peace

Peace is this moment

I will be your peace
