And so the world is turned upside down. There are days when up is down, up is right, up is left and there is no bottom. Hatred and arrogance floods news feeds causing constriction of hope and isolation of integrity. Friends enemies while enemies become allies. Prepared? Terrified? Confused? Horrified? Each a direction, each with different means yet; somehow, they all lead to the upside world we have created for ourselves. Run, hold on, look for a new avenue, remain...four methods, four happenstances; yet for what? So we can acclimate to climate change; compassion, empathy set aside that ignorance and hatred may illuminate a fictitious path of entitlement and grand standing? This constant flip flop is exhausting to the point where we find ourselves completely turned upside, contemplating our next move. It is in our “deliberation” of facts that we find a transparent God, a loving God, a generous and kind God holding our His arms that, no matter from which direction we come, it is into His arms that we will fall; that we will find rest. North, east, south, west, the world turned upside down and yet the discovery of our God, the pinnacle of our quest, uncovered within our very being is all we need to make sense of the chaos of the times. Faith illuminates our path, guiding us toward love, toward hope, toward the sanctity of God, of pure holiness. Rationalizing a world of chaos is exhaustive, thus we must step back, listen that we may live purposed in the Father. Purposed to know, we seek understanding in that empathy forges our path and those we meet feel love, even if for only a moment. Purposed to hope, we persist in our vision to be active resources for those who have become apathetic in their quest to to achieve sustainable independence. Purposed to love, we move in silence yet act with the voice of compassion, eyes of kindness and arms which welcome. Purposed to connect, we focus on that which isn’t being said, that which remains stifled by fear, by anxiety, by doubt in a hope that the wordless words of the Father resonate in our daily actions allowing us to connect our souls without human tongue. If these our purposes then faith need be our action. Trust that the world may be upside down but, grounded in faith, we shall not fall.
