Satchel

Walking down a narrow path, there, on the road, lies a stone.  Intrigued by its unusual shape, you pick it up and, after careful examination, place it into your bag then continue along your journey.  The sun is bright and warm making for a pleasant walk.  As the road begins to widen, the tree become inflamed by the brilliant hues of the now setting sun.  Under the next step another stone fascinates the senses and you pick it up, examine it and place it into your bag.  Several days pass, the journey, while exhausting, excites the soul for along the walk, God speaks and in the silence, you hear.  You hear Him speak of love, speak of purpose, speak of forgiveness, speak of understanding.  And though no words were exchanged, your heart accepts these truths, accepts these invitations.  Wrestling with love is a commitment unearthed by human concepts for language the barrier which presents the most devastating blow; yet, this journey, along these paths, no words were spoken that unconditional love may be felt.  Blindsided by mandated human deadlines, purpose quickly becomes defunct; however, purpose was the compass, the need by which you marked your path.  Grudges, revenge and regrets throttle forgiveness for humanity attempts to temper emotion making room for forgiveness an impossibility.  This path, this path throttles nothing, it is open, awakening us to the allowances of the heart, the beautiful temperament of compassion, empathy and forgiveness which is the soul; feelings a necessary navigation along such a trail.  Bombarded by institutional studies, humans accept concepts derived by the perplexities of the brain not withstanding the integrity of the heart creating a reality of tangibles rather than a reality of connections.  Throughout this journey you were able to see the reality of the Father via eyes of the heart: His presence, His mercy, His connection to the creation and His love for you.  Revelation of home, this journey lead to deep connections, awakenings of realities and commitments to awareness.  But why, then, are you so exhausted, why are you tired to the point of collapsing?  If the Father truly walked with you, if He provided nutrition, warmth and security, why do your bones ache and your muscles cramped?  Look within your satchel; the stones, the many stones you gather along the journey, their weight, individually is minimal, but; collectively, their weight becomes significant.  So significant that your steps slow, your strides shorten and your motivation to move lessens.  You continue to hear but you process differently for exhaustion weighs not only on the physical but, too, the mental.  Each stone now its own weight, a weight representing a portion of the tangible reality which you refuse to release for fear of future need.  But what need have you of fear, of doubt, of anger, of resentment, of hatred, of...the list continues for the list appropriated by human tongue and manipulated by human advantage.  Dump the satchel, let go of that which holds you down, that which makes your journey tiresome and cumbersome.  Be freed from this weight that you may fully enter into the communion of the journey with the Father, that that which you hear may be fully processed by the heart and encountered by the soul making for a journey a reality enveloped in love, in purpose, in forgiveness and in understanding.  The stones along the path will still intrigue, some you will take with you, others you will examine and return to the road and still others, the Father will carry for you will have learned to share, to speak, to ask without demand, without agendas.  This journey, your journey, let it be motivated by faith and propelled by trust in the Father.  Human nature nags for collection, even  to the point of hoarding while divinity centers around sharing, giving, and humility.   Let go, be freed from the weight you have collected, it serves no purpose, it only slows your step.  Are you ready to empty the satchel?
