Can’t You See

When will we see?  When will be know?

Just how to move within our show

Show us how, show us where, where to go

But You have, and still we stay

Stay along a path which leads to pain

The pain we know, the pain we see

The pain we call our own

But it’s not an intent, only an aftermath

A creation of our own

Can’t you see, can’t you see

What this world is doing to us?

Can’t you see, I know you can see

What this world thinks you should be

When we see, when we know

Our choice begins

Claim the world as our own

Or claim the truth as our home

Can’t you see, can’t you see

This world has become so vain

Can’t you see, I know we all see

The disconnect this world has come to live

Movement without purpose

Explanations without meaning

Speech without introspection

This separation grows longer, grows stronger

With even ignorant stare

Movement as if by choice, stonewalling our heart

A fleeing second

A breath of air

A hope spoken in the soul

Do we stop, do we listen or do we keep the chosen course?

Why can’t we see?

Listening has not come to be

Listening the enemy, the master of deceit

Or so the world would have us believe

So we live within a choice

A choice to breath or to gasp

No matter our path, the Father walks

Walks by our side

Though we sometimes jump on the freight train

Love never leaves our side

Can’t you see, can’t you see

The Father loves us even more today

Can’t you see, I think you see

What this world wants you to be

Look within, look outside

See the love which the Father gives

It is real, it is strong

It will withstand the passing of each day

So take His hand

Walk along

The path, the world has carved

Not alone, not as self

But as connected, as one in love

The Father sees, the Father knows

Just how to make, make His love grow

Can’t you see, can’t you see

What this world’s gonna be

Can’t you see, I know you see

How the Lord works in love

Love for you

Love for me

Love for a world which holds it pain

So let it be, yes, let it be

Let love be our eternal path
