That isn’t vertigo we are experiencing; rather the instability of a world devoid of values, resting upon delusional ideals. The experiences of yesteryear buried, broken, gone for the practices of humility, understanding, empathy and compassion have been replaced with selfishness, ignorance, apathy and tyranny. We look, we listen, we read and what we feel is sadness for we are powerless in such a society; or are we? It is true, we can’t change the whole world but we can make a difference in our tiny portion. The Father has shown us love, shown us mercy, forgiven our misdirection and placed no judgement upon our actions; rather He has offered His hand in assistance. We must look within for this our starting point, our direction of change. Could we listen more? Could we stop more often? Could we utilize our talents in a different way? Could we be more humble, understanding, empathetic, compassionate? We know, in truth, that the answer to all of the questions are yes and yet we sit back and wait. Wait for the world to change itself, wait for the world to transform into love; an impossibility if we, ourselves, are not pure love. To become pure love we must fully commit to entering into a deep relationship with the Father; we must be willing to step into the silence and listen; we must hold our tongue that the wordless words of the heart are permitted to be heard. Listen to these words we must, for they are the roots of our soul, a beckoning of love initiated by the Father, secured in our devotion. So the next time we think ourselves experiencing vertigo we need to stop and check within, check our commitment to prayer, to silence, to listening, to the Father for it is this internal diagnostic that can change our portion of the world.
